Run # 471 Yeoor Hills

Wow! Feels so good to run so close from the city on a morning run. We literally left our house at nine and were at the venue in less than an hour.

Yeoor Hills or the Thane side of the National Park is where we ran from. It just amazes that we live in the only city in the world which has a jungle in the heart of the city. Not a zoo, a jungle; with boundaries and restricted areas for humans.

However, running in this areas have their own restrictions. The major one is the limitations on exploring. This was the primary reason why inspite of having 3 hares, the run could not be stretched more than 5 kms. Infact it was done at 4.4kms. Many hashers who are lazy to do hard work found a new and likeable Shivaji for haring the shortest run of his career.

But where we miss one thing, we more then make up with another. We missed a slightly longer run and we made it up with drinking more beer and also playing a lot of catch once back at the venue.

Circle:

Though the run was really short, the hares were praised for the wonderful effort to make this exciting. The trail more than made up for the length with its shady forest paths and the incline. 7/10. Kudos!

4 models were also asked to slap their bums on the ice. Reason? They arrived for the run after 4 FRB's had already finished their run. To top that, they all came dressed as if they were heading for a party. Though they did the entire run eventually, they had to be the hash fashion for the day.

Snafu got the oppurtunity to bless her shoes alongwith the Robin Sharma lookalike. People generously poured into their shoe and they religiously gulped it down.

Nihar was christened 'Horny Yeti'. Kinda cool name and goes with his habits and personality and passion. Yeah!

So that was it. With that we called off the circle and moved to the Hashing Staple diet of biryani.

P.S. Guys the Easter Weekend forms are out and filling fast. Kindly book your place for the same. I already have. On On

Run # 469 Wackopedia hideout

This venue, last time, squeezed every drop of water out of our body, thanks to the humidity. It came as close to 100% as it could.

This time though, it was slightly different. The weather, though not cooler, was not so taxing either. Lets say it was not a bad day to run and the perfect setup to drink beer. And to add icing to the cake, Osama arrived and with him arrived the lovely snacks from Candies.

The hares, Wackopedia, Screwed Driver, Patricia, Snafu and Fubar were there a day before and laid a well mark trail. It was really surprising when they came to know that 2 hashers, one of them being a regular hasher and an FRB missed the entry point right at the beginning and did the entire trail in the opposite direction. Yes Joy and Ethan missed the BIG arrow on the left and kept moving along the path. Upon asking, Joy said, "We started running and Boon (Ethan's canine companion) was leading. We just kept following him." Beware Boon! Joy likes to run after you. They did do the whole run, though from a different perspective. ;)

Wackopedia's hideout does not disappoint. His bungalow is perfect for hashers for all kinds. We have the 'Oh my God, the sun' hashers who sit inside the house and can still be a part of the outside world. Then we have the 'Let me be close to where the beer is' who can sit on the steps leading to the main door, where the beers buckets are kept. And finally there are those who want to be one with nature. They sprawl in the lawn under the shade of young trees and keep shouting for more beers.

The hares were appreciated for their effort. Though no one has beaten the last run from this venue (remember the complete 10/10 run?), this one bagged 8/10 for all if offered.

We finally can expect a lot of photographs for this run as our dearly beloved cameraman, Ashu, is back after a long break. Idiot decided to put his foot on glass. He must have been sober that time, I guess.

Zaffar 'still alive' started yelping his version of the anthem after we finished ours and broke the circle who then moved to the Biryani.

A good day was had by all. LOL

Run 602 | Arundhati Bungalow

Some hashers are true to their name. We were graced by one true blue hasher from Nigeria for this one. He takes his hash name very serious...
