Run # 573 Aumkar Homes, Karjat

 The 'DID NOT' run.

Ninja Turtle resurfaced as a hare for this one and with the company of Rupi and an Activa, marked a street run. I mean, we travelled over a 100 kms to run on the streets, right under the sun. I could have just run around my block and ended it at a local joint for a few drinks. But hashers as a species is known for all kinds of stupid.

This was a run where we did a lot of nothing. We were surrounded by lovely hills and an excellent trail opportunity but we DID NOT make use to it. The run was in direct relation with the places where a scooter would go.

We DID NOT not finish the run too. Well, apart from the 2 FRB's, Dr. Porn and FUBAR. Yes! Don't rub your eyes. FUBAR was the FRB. The rest of the gang found their own trail after eating dust on the highway and made their way back.

Wreckless did fall on the trail, tummy first on the ground. He came back with a black tee and a scratched knee.

Aumkar Homes, the down down venue, had a projector room. It was used only to stay away from the sun. No, we DID NOT make use of it to watch porn.

Aumkar Homes also had a swimming pool. No, we DID NOT make good use of it. While some Hashers shaded in the room, a few chilled by the pool in the only tiny space which had some shade.

Hares:
Since we could not, DID NOT, give credit where credit was due AND we could not manage to put the scooter on ice, only

Ninja sat on ice and we sang to him. 3 out of 10 for the 5km street run. 1 pt for Activa, 1 point for Rupi (Co hare) and 1 pt for Wrecky falling down.

Tarang was iced for entertaining a few hashers who came by train. Tarang boarded a train after 15 years and the number of questions he asked to make sure he

was at the right place deserved his ass to be iced.

Dr. Porn and FUBAR were next on the ice. As mentioned, the only 2 losers to do the entire trail.

Fubar stayed on the ice. He

bought new shoes and he drank from one of them.

Ninja and Rupi made it to the ice again for the venue sponsorship.

Rupi had a lovely first experience with the ice. So he moved to whiskey later.

While we did not have any arrangements for biryani, the hosts got us yummy egg bhurji and bread.

The sun still shined as we headed back.

9th Jan (Thursday)
Thursday went by easy as Bh3(bombay hash) came prepared for the madness which would ensue the resort over the weekend. All we had to do was finish marking the run for friday, check if the beers were in place, make sure the beers are getting chilled by trying them every hour. We also spent the entire evening listening to music and drinking beers. All this while, we were checking how much beer needed to be consumed to not feel cold. Then it turned out to be not so cold. So we drank to beat the heat. Anyway, Beer QC, check.

10th january (Friday)
Just before noon, tuk tuks started pulling in the resort gates and hashers poured in. In a not so polite fashion, hashers finished their registrations, wore their wrist bands and went straight to the bar. "It's beer time", said someone. I guess by lunch, the entire team of UTropicana realised that it was going to be a fun fun weekend.

Run # 1
After settling the luggage in their rooms, hashers gathered in the lawn to inaugurate the first run of Nash Hash 2020. Hared by the bawa gang of Bombay Hash (Baby Dick, Gimme More, Hand Job and Wreckless) with a minimal assistance from Fubar and Half a Peacock, runners were taken on a trip to the surroundings of the resort. 3 superbly marked trails led Hashers through the rough, the bush, the heat, the road, back to the resort. A good 8km+ workout; perfect thirst builder for all the beers to follow.

Back at the resort, the mood had started to build for the perfect evening. Bhajiyas started doing rounds along with beer. Music blared from the massive BT speaker as Hashers lay on the grass and soaking in the shade and the slight nip in the air. An aerial view would have disclosed a sea of people wearing Kotak Mahindra tees and having a good time.

Pusher honked the horn and the circle began. Algebra opened her box of hash songs and everyone sangalong, atleast hummed out the tunes. The circle concluded with a 100 hashers singing the hash anthem in unison.

7.30pm
The DJ had slowly started pepping up the music while hashers chilled in the lawn, all decked up, sipping whiskeys and beers and what not. UTropicana made a bonfire and also cooked Popti, a earthen pot filled with meat and veggies and cooked in the bonfire.

9.00pm.
The lawn turned into a dance floor. Hashers got a taste of Bollywood. People with 2 left feet could be seen dancing like MJ meets Prabhudeva.

11.00pm
The lawn was now a bed for some, while a chill zone for others. The music had stopped officially but beats could be heard from a distance.

Midnight
The after party had broken loose in Villa Number. 8 which continued till the wee hours of morning and then more.

11th Jan, (Saturday)
Post breakfast, people broke into a sing and dance, skits and what not. A row of sailors went sailing in the lawn and came back with multiple orgasms(check Instagram for video)). Beer games got people chugging beers and running crooked, while arm wrestlers argued over who won, wait what?
Simultaneously, an impromptu volleyball match between Bombay and Bangalore started trending. We did a best of 3 and each team won a match. Grand Finale time was cut short as Bombay Hash had planned a skit. So it was decided that the finale would be played during Monsoons Madness (watch out if early bird tkts to the Finale).
The hosts performed a lovely skit called 'The Fountain of Youth' (Check Instagram for video). Never knew spitting water on someone would be so much fun.
Famished by the time lunch was served, we were still in high spirits for the run.

Run # 2 (Bangalore Hash 700th run)

3.00pm
Hashers gathered in the lawn. Today was a sea of SBI tees.

3.30pm
The runners flagged off. Marked by Shivaji, Wackopedia and a team from Bangalore hash, the run was divided into S M and L. You could make out who partied hard by seeing which route they chose. Lol

6pm.
The circle today was a PG rated so no cameras were allowed.
A lot of announcements and applauds happened before the Hash Anthem concluded the circle. Once again, Algebra entertained with a lot of songs.

The Party
Today was a Hawaiian theme night. Pretty colours and outfits filled the lawn. There were also numerous skits performed by all the participating chapters. It went on for a while, to a point where we may have passed the deadline for dance and music. The resort Management, in love with us by now, extended the deadline and we did get the dancefloor towards the end.

Midnight
The after party at Villa No. 8 continued. Only Tonite, there was more attendance. And the party went on and on and on...

12th Jan (Sunday)
The hangover run was a treasure hunt within the resort premises. Dr. Porn did a fantastic job with the TH.
Post lunch, check outs started and soon, 2 ferries left the jetty for the sail back to Bombay. But who said the party was over?
Post lubes happened at a Taproom, closer to the airport and beers kept pouring till as long as they could.

Run # 569 Neembada (Wreckless Hideout)

We couldn't stop laughing at the sight of these veterans taking a dip (namesake) in the swimming pool. The water looked very inviting and just as I had a thought of taking a dip; the veterans got out of the pool, removed their clothes (they were wearing pajamas and tees in the pool) and started washing them in the bloody pool. "Beda gard ho inn buddho ka".

And that marked the inauguration of Run # 569.

However depressing the view of the pool was, the run was exactly what was expected for the last run of the year; all thanks to the wonderful haring effort by the local (we paid him) and the absolute gem of a marking done by Shivaji and Fubar. :P Hashers loved the coutryside, the trail, the lake, the greenery, the jungle, the everything.

Unanimously, we got 13/10 for this one. Happy 2019 folks!

Back at Neembada, Energiser Bunny could not stop talking about his "apparently" big battery. The hash with it's beloved senior hashers gets entertaining run by run. Also, there were more bitings than we could ever think of. Zafar also distributed some tees from Bangkok hash to the hashers he hates the most.
Image may contain: 2 people, including Porus Chinoy, people sitting and people eatingThe conversations mostly circled around the upcoming Nash Hash 2020 which is hosted by Bombay Hash. Grown ass people started talking like excited teenagers who experienced orgasm for the first time. Well, such is the demand for that event.

Circle:
Hares Shivaji and Fubar got a 23 sec ovation for this run. The previous record is 21 secs held by Fubar for solo haring.
Wreckless got on the ice for giving us this wonderful venue to run from.
Wreckless and Vishal got on the ice again for venue and KF

Run # 568 Bonsai Shining anniversary

So many people from varied fields and you'd expect someone to come forward and write a blog in the absence of the person who usually writes the blog.

But we are drinkers with a running problem (and apparently also a writing problem). So here are some notes from the run:

1. The run started at Haiko
2. They ran through Powai and made it to Kanjur Marg
3. They had beer
4. It was Bonsai and Shinings 25th Hashing Anniversary.

Everybody went back home.

Run # 567 Halloween at Independence Brewing Company

Image result for halloween gif

It started getting real spooky at Independence Brewing Company at around 6ish as the dark entities started walking in the gate. Fubar had almost turned into a zombie as the skin kept falling off his face. He also managed to take a big chunk out of Half a Peacock's cheeks, slowly but surely turning her into a zombie too.
Vinod, the masked guy from Scream, casually walks in and asks about. "There's time to start the mass murders.", says Fubar, raising his glass to him.
"Where are the hashers meeting?" asks Sangha at the host desk. She is followed by, not yet Yoda.
By 6.30, the outside of IBC is strolled by zombies, Yoda, vampires, Scream, Guy Fawkes and even Terminator is back, though he kept saying, "I'll be back" for some reason. Maybe he had to take a tinkle. A huge cry for help makes us rush towards a big car parked on the side as the security and Wreckless pull out a man, a devil rather, carrying Fartashaty in a box.

The highlight costume was that of Wackopedia. He came dressed as Jaideep. Super scary.

Fashionably late, the bunch walks out of the gate and immediately grabs attention from fellow passerby's.

Less than a km from the run, creatures from the other dimension decide that they are the sons of devils and do not want to follow rules, create mayhem rather and go to a mall. At this thought, all hell breaks loose as the devils turn around making their way to the mall.

Fubar manages to put up a convincing zombie act as he actually makes quiet a few people scream and run hap hazardly on the streets; to a point that he managed to make a security guy run for his life at a multiplex.

As the ghostly creatures enter Infiniti Mall, they are stopped by security and they wouldn't let us in.

Outside though, we have our paparazzi moment as we are surrounded by shoppers who are scrambling to take pictures with us. No kidding,

a good 30 minutes was spent at the mall entrance just posing for pictures with families, kids and even some cute looking chics. Sangha was even introduced to Tik Tok as a boy walks up to her and makes a Tik Tok with her.

We are too smitten to do anything else but drink beer so we head back to IBC as fast as we can.

And the 567th last supper is a gala event with good beers, good food and fantastic people.

Beer session highlights:

Hashers living in the vicinity decide to attend the post run down downs

Amol is molested and doggied by the ghost who doggied Farty throughout the run

Everyone is drunk, no glasses break... Or do they?

Ok bye!

Oh wait... here is a picture of us all.

Run 566 Aman Lodge (Matheran)

Image result for monkey gif
Matheran, Monkey Land

The threshold between Dastur and Matheran is a magical place. This is the point where you have to let go of your vehicle and chose your foot or a horses. And this is why, Matheran is a pollution free hill top, filled with trees. The first movers to this jungle were the monkeys, then humans, as always, encroached. Now they try to live together in harmony and the conflicts are hilarious.

So, it was obvious that a Hash Run in Matheran is not something you would want to miss. And we didn't.

DYK: Aman Lodge is a Heritage II property, around a 100 years old.

Early morning pre run convo at Aman Lodge.
The run was a beautifully marked trail set by the Bawa boys, Baby Dick and Wreckless. The 8km walk in the woods was made easier by the shade of the trees, the morning breeze and the peace of the jungle. Around 2 hours of pure bliss.

Back at Aman Lodge, Half a Peacock danced the monkeys away and kept our beers safe and cold. Pre downs downs were spent discussing Nash Hash, chit chatting, feeding the mutts in the property and shooing the notorious monkeys away from our food.

Circle

Baby Dick and Wreckless did a fantastic job with the marking and the trail. A superb run. They sat on cubes and drank up.

Don't Ask was iced for asking Bonsai who Fubar was. DAMN!

This is Karsten. His mother hash is Bombay Hash. Over his period with us, he taught us zero English but learned good Hindi from us. Then he moved back to Oslo. We couldn't give him a fairwell gift. This time, we didn't want to miss it. We named him. Karsten, by the power vested in Bonsai, GM of Bombay Hash, you shall now be "Looks like cum." Welcome to the family bro.

Cunt Chinmay and Dickless Deepali are new hashers. This was their first hashing experience. They both wore new shoes and came for the run. We christened the shoes with beer. They drank the beer from the shoe. They'll fit right in. :)

Zafar kept claiming that Aman Lodge belong to him. So Abbas bhai asked him to grace the ice cubes on behalf of himself. Makes me cum represented KF on behalf of VM. Thank you sponsors for the lovely Hashing Sunday.

The ride back to Bombay was equally hilarious with 9 drunkards, one with a "broken leg" boarded the local train and created a rukus of sorts... Ask Half a Peacock for more details.

On On to Run 567.

Run # 565 Huseni Farm

The run was the year was amazing as always. Wackopedia's jinx is finally broken. Inspite of his absence for this one, the rain didn't show us it's lovely face. Also, this has to be the first time in the past many years that it did not rain on a Huseni run.

But the scenic beauty of that place kept us occupied. Hares Shivaji and Fadia spared us the long and treacherous climbs this time and kept the run pretty much on the road. However, Shivaji needs a Haring 101, as his markings were questionable. Well, we'll note it to Fadia's company and whatever happened between them the night before that made them both so lazy.

The 30+ hashers did finish the run with high spirits, 3 of them took a shortcut; 2 of those were part of the mismanagement. Lazy buggers.
Image result for lazy runner gif

Back at the farm, we indulge in some baby monkey pleasure. Yes, while Huseni farm is always a dog friendly place, this time, we also had a baby monkey to give us company. The baby fell from a tree and the mom ran away out of fear. The baby monkey took shelter with the dogs at Huseni farm. True story.

Ok, enough Monkey Business. While the rain still eluded us, we made the most of the cool climate under the shed and cold beer always helps.

Circle:

Shivaji and Fadia for a wonderful, unmarked run!

Shining on the ice
Shining is responsible for acquiring things we need during the run i.e. ice tubs, plates, spoons, barmen uniforms etc. Now, if you notice, he's not sitting in he ice tub, rather he's sitting in the ice box which has all our beers. Not only that, he forgot the slutty nurse uniform which pissed the fuck out of hashers. While the clan kept screaming "Burn the witch", we iced him.

Some hashers in our family are true runners. Take for instance, Assman. This burger, to be dad soon, ran some city marathon (10k) in the morning before him and the Mrs. came to Karjat and even did a walk here. Arey waah! While we couldn't put the mom and the to be born on the ice, Assman had no problem whatsoever.  Unfortunately we don't have a picture of that moment. It's on video I guess... :)

Clit-oh-patra and Ninja was next for shortcutting. For someone who was lagging way behind, they came back to the venue pretty fast. Again, no pic but on video. :)

Shivaji Returns
Shivaji was iced again. Well, Huseni farms is our most awaited run of the year. Shivaji is the reason we get this venue for our spoils. We spoiled him with free beer in an unwashed piss pot and also sang him a brand new song, never sung on the hash before... "Padosan apni murgi ko rakhna sambhal, mera murga hua hai deewana." He couldn't be happier.

After the circle and the anthem, we lined up for the biryani and gave side glances to Shining. He had forgotten the plates and spoons too.

With a belly full of beer and biryani, everyone apart from drivers slept in the car while 2 hashers walked to the station for a long, tired, dreadful train ride.

On On! till the next run.

Venue hint: MonkeyLand

Run # 621 (Arundhati Bungalow)

Bombay Hash House Harriers – Run No. 621 Arundhati Bungalow, Sanjay Gandhi National Park If you weren’t there, you missed a Sunday morning...
