I guess a few people take Patricks Day, in India, very seriously. I mean, wearing green clothes is ok, I can even live with Green food and green beer; but owning a Green Santro is too much. Yes! We did see a green, dirty green, Santro parked right outside the entrance of the club.
So as we started collecting the moolah to let people enter the club after the run, someone came and asked me for a smoke. Rohan it was, i think, and I lost all count and 'hisaab' of the money collected. Lol
The real stroke came upon realising that even this run was hared by 2 hashers who had never hared before. Rajbir and Ramnik wore their hare outfits the moment Bonsai announced the run.
The run was pretty much a straight circle around the area. Starting from the club, we head to Siddhi Vinayak temple, Prabhadevi, round the road, on the dirty lovers beach, around the Shivaji park ground back to the venue. It was surprising how, an otherwise bustling with trafiic, Prabhadevi was empty on this day.
The run got over in good time and we were on the roof waiting for chilled beer. Also, a lot of planning and discussion went flying as the easter weekend was upon us.
Beers arrived and so arrived the loud decibels that come with it. Everyone cheered in chorus as if it was rehearsed. Bitings and snacks in the form of peanuts, chicken and sev puri.
While some people called it a day, a few, as always, didnt dim the light. They continued partying at The Barking Deer; a watering hole owned by our very own Gregory.
On On to the Easter Weekend.
