Olive…
oops
Dibs
and Sameer’s house (Bandra)
April
fool… just that it was only the 28th of March. Too bad April fool
was not the last Sunday of the month. Anyway, just wanting to see how a fancy
place like Olive affects the turnout of the hashers, we decided that we’d put
the venue as Olive when it was actually happening out of Dibs and Sam’s house,
a stones throw away from Olive.
We
did manage to fool a few people to tried to get inside Olive at 9 am and also
we realized that unwanted hashers were not present for the run. After unloading
the kingfisher and the biryani at Dibs cosy apartment on the top floor of a
quiet building, Fubar started wondering how the place would be turned upside
down by the group of crazy ppl waiting a few mtrs away.
Registrations
got over and the run was started. Well managed and marked, the run also sported
a water stop… something we saw after a really long time on Bombay Hash. There
was a short run and a long run. As we made our way back to the roof of Dibs
bldg, we saw the hashers waiting outside Olive, still thinking that the beer
would be served there. We guided them to the roof of Dibs building where a
snack of peanuts was rolled around with Kingfisher beer. Sam brought a vessel
full of burnt Gulab Jamun (boiled potatoes) which were grabbed and finished in
the blink of an eye. The view from the roof was good enough to start
conversations of sorts and we also had a good time trying to crush beer tins.
The
circle:
Hares
made a sexy time on the ice and were applauded for the decently short city run.
Virgins
were made to get their butts on the ice. 2 small kids made the Virgin bunch
look vibrant.
Visiting
hasher El Salvador was iced while the mismanagement started stealing ideas for
hash names from the back of his t-shirt.
Dibs
and Sameer were honored for letting us turn their building ‘upside down’ on
that day.
The
moment the circle got over and the hash anthem was sung, hashers started
standing in a line to divulge in the amazing biryani for the day. Realising
that we had nothing else to do, we just thinned out and went home.
