Run # 392
Soul Fry Casa
Fort, BOMBAY.
We could not have celebrated the Bombay
Hash Anniversary in a better way. It was a wonderful evening outside Soul Fry
as one could see a lot of hustle bustle of people, native as well as foreign,
with camera’s in their hand wanting to click everything that was going on a few
meters away at the Kala Ghoda festival.
The run was also unique in its own way.
It was full of lefts and rights and lefts and rights and lefts and rights and a
few more of lefts and rights. So much turning insured that you got to see the
maximum of south Bombay. The runners passed from places like the Central Bank
of India, Cross Maidan, Sterling, HSBC,
JB Petit, Campion School, Churchgate Station, Marine Drive, LIC of India,
Mantralay, Colaba, Regal and finally, the main attraction of the evening, THE KALA GHODA FEST.
Back at Casa, things were getting louder
by the minute. As Tuborg did its rounds among people, Cumagain started singing
to the lyrics on the screen. Yes! We had the pleasure of his wonderful vocal
chords tearing up our ear drums for the next 5 minutes. :-P
Since this was an evening run, we did
not manage a circle and there was no ice. However, lets get to know somethings
that are worth knowing about this run:
1. Cumagain, Fubar and Naysa hared this excellent run. It was around
8-9 kms long and was an easy run for people of all age groups. They did manage
to run out of tape while haring the run. The last stretch of the run was marked
with, hardly visible on the electric poles, yellow tape.
2. This run was on the same day as that of the Derby. We did miss the
horses gallop but that was covered by the way Cockney Wanker and Steve were
running the course. They made the run look much smaller than it actually was.
These 2 are the stallions of Bombay Hash.
3. Some hashers came across markings of a particular previous run and
followed it and got offtrack. Thanks to the yellow tape, it made it easier for
them to distinguish later on.
4. Fartashaty tried to act smart and jump up a barricaded chain… his
camera fell flat on the ground and so did his b@ll$.
5. Everybody realized that you don’t need a good voice to be a singer,
a few beers would just do fine.
So, after a wonderful evening spent in a
cozy joint in Bombay, hashers waved good bye and headed back home.
Imp: - A big thanks to the management of
Soul Fry Casa for their service and the discounts that were offered.
Also, a very big thanks to Cumagain for arranging
this venue for our evening run.
